Arts Lounge is committed to publishing the most engaging work of our time. Hence we are expanding and diversifying our editorial team. We are particularly interested in editors who demonstrate that they are already fans of Arts lounge and that they appreciate our aesthetic and style.

We need editors whose creativity and ideas match ours to help us through our growing submissions pile and proofread the pieces we accept.

After six months of volunteering with our magazine, you will have the choice to either continue for another six months or to resign.

We’re looking for editors:

>who will judge for themselves and make good decisions about the pieces they read.

>who are creative and enthusiastic about sharing their perspectives with everyone on the editorial board; who are willing to work collaboratively with other editors and writers.

>who love to read contemporary fiction, poetry, and essays

>who possess a love for African cultures and peoples.

>who have substantial reading and writing backgrounds, and a strong publication history.
