Afritondo recently announced the Longlist for the 2022 Afritondo Short Story Prize.
The Longlist contains the names of 16 writers whose works were selected out of 367 submitted works from 24 countries.
Afritondo believes the longlisted stories “reflect the pulse and range of storytelling on the continent,” especially within the context of it’s theme: spirituality.
The longlisted stories will be published in an anthology to be released later this year; a shortlist and the winner will be decided upon in the coming week after the publication.
