Arts Lounge Literary Magazine invites creative nonfiction writers for a two-day writing workshop. The online workshop which is themed, the art of the personal essay will be faciliated by Erik Gleibermann and hosted by Adaeze M. Nwadike.
Erik Gleibermann is a social justice journalist, literary critic, memoirist and poet in San Francisco, California. He has written for The Atlantic, New York Times, Washington Post, Guardian, Los Angeles Review of Books, Black Scholar, Oprah Daily, and World Literature Today, where he is a contributing editor. He taught magazine writing this year in the Stanford University Continuing Studies program.
Adaeze M. Nwadike is the founding editor of Arts Lounge Literary Magazine. She is the author of the poetry chapbook Conversations with the Sea. She is a teacher and a writer. Some of her works have appeared in Praxis journal of SUNY at Oneonta, Brittle paper, the Rising Phoenix, Littlestone Journal, and Lolwe among others.
The workshop is free and is scheduled for 22nd and 23rd of September, 2022.
Interested participants should send a 100–word writing sample to artsloungenyc@gmail.com, before the 18th of September. Accepted applicants will be contacted on the 20th of September. Writing sample should be sent in the body of the mail, not as an attachment. The subject of the email should read workshop.
