										─ Rumi

intensity of a burden can be weighed in two ways
in the mirror
on the river/

reflection is a great means
to flush your body/ but when in sorrow

learn to weigh yourself on water
it’s a remedy─
as to whether a body should drown of float/

in your eyes is a dribbling cascade
let all out─ let all out
the river Zambezi ends in another/

the soreness shall vaporize in time/ rains
shall come down on them beat every dirt
off your roof gush inlet the scabrous soul
& rinse you from psychosis/

grief is an escaping chimney gas winged
to survival how then can we run from life?/

i collided frames to the ground & memories
metamorphosed into incessant echoes

of clanking irons but i did not dance because
the song came from the path a lover exited/

when night sweeps darkness into your eyes
silence becomes a cross on your skull/

the light that redeems you
is a meteor-ember, mutilating the cornea/
let all out─ let all out/

sing lots/ swim lots/ drink lots/ dance lots/
close your eyes/ kneel before your
skull─ stay there/
