trees near body of water under dark clouds

He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them
unto their desired haven. Psa107:29-30

rehearse the promises of a new dawn. wet the lips
in sacrament of prayers like a ladened soul scampering
to extreme corners of calm. press this inebriated
soul to redemption. define peace without the chivalry
taste of blood. remember not the things of old; they
spiral into white cascade of grief. for those who
inhabit in grief never find the feet of healings.
gyrate this spirit again. chariot the aisle of the psalmist's
praise. unfurl from the gleanings of fractured memories.
this place yearns a revival. the blights of this communal
loss called wilderness experience javelin into fiery darts.
& sometimes, draws the heart and soul into a vortex like
the whispers of whirlwind seesawing through an hungry
soul. fret not! the waves weaves into stillness. the body
resurrect to gladness. & haunting escapades of yesteryears
submit to a command; Peace Be Still.
