Guidelines 

The TY Buratai literary Initiative is calling out to writers focused on young adult literature to submit their novella/ novel to its Young Adult Literary Prize 2024.

• The prize is open to Nigerian citizens or residents, aged 18 or above.
• Entries should be original, unpublished, and not exceed 120 pages.
• The language should be age- appropriate, easy to read, and may include slangs and colloquial terms. Specifically for ages 13-19.
• Entries should reflect one or more of the common themes and archetypes of young adult literature, such as solo quest to change the world, rages to riches, different people, or recreating classic stories.
• Entries should be sent as a Word document attachment, to TYBLI@GMAIL.COM on or before midnight of July 31, 2024.
• Please put in the subject line “TYBLI Young Adults Literature Prize 2024. 

Prizes 

• All participants will receive Certificate of Participation.
• Six regional writers will receive N250, 000. 00, Certificate Of Merit and qualify for the grand prize.
• The shortlisted entries will also be featured on the TY Buratai Literary Initiative’s website and social media platforms. 
• Deadline for Submission- July 31
