The Kokonut Head Media is pleased to announce that application for her annual Writers in Residency Program is now open. This year, three African writers currently based in the continent will be selected for a three- month digital residency. During their stay, each writer is required to:
- Produce six short stories to be published in the Kokonut Head Media’s website.
- Receive personalized editorial mentorship.
- Participate in private craft sessions led by prominent writers, editors, and publishing professionals.
APPLICATION GUIDELINES
- Applicants must submit a portfolio of completed work, and a brief proposal outlining their project, including at least a short story idea.
- All submissions will be reviewed by an independent selection committee.
- The Residency requires a minimum commitment of twenty hours per week, and includes a total award of $600, disbursed biweekly throughout the program.
