Bakwa has moved the deadline for it’s 11th edition, Woman Issue, formerly scheduled for January 10, 2022 to January 31, 2022.

Woman Issue, guest edited by Anwuli Ojogwu, seeks fiction, nonfiction, photography, and poetry that explores, interprets, and contextualizes the experience of being woman—”living in their own skin.”

According to Anwuli Ojogwu, co-founder of Narrative Landscape Press, “a woman has no single identity. We are dynamic and evolve… our existence is a moral and political compass—sexuality, body, identity… We want honest and creative writing in evocative styles. We want thought pieces that are deep and questioning, that state clearly and explore the theme.”

Writers will receive $60 for their accepted works.
