On the twenty-seven of May, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) announced the 2021 winners of the Nebula Award. The winners were announced in a virtual ceremony which took place during the Nebula conference online.

One of the winners of the award for best novelette was Oghenechovwe Donald Ekpeki for his marvellous story, “O2 Arena” published by Galaxy’s Edge.

The award would make him the first African writer to win the Nebula in the novelette category and the first African-Black person to win the Nebula award.

Congratulations to Oghenechovwe Donald Ekpeki and the other winners!
