The Ebedi Review is a literary forum for showcasing the creativity of both emerging and established writers. The concept of the review was said to have been formed by the Ebedi fellows in 2014; Paul Liam, Obinna Udenwe, Karo Okokoh, and the former Administrative Residency Manager, Kofi Sakky.

After its creation, the publication has had four editions in print. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, which would be marked in 2024, Ebedi review opens a call for writers to submit their best works in the following category: 

Nonfiction.

Fiction.

Poetry.

Book reviews.

Essays.

Guidelines:

1. Fiction: Send in compelling short stories and flash fiction pieces. Whether it’s a tale of love, adventure, mystery, or any genre that ignites your imagination. Fiction submissions should be no longer than 3,000 words.

2. Non-Fiction: Share your personal essays, memoirs, or thought-provoking articles on a wide range of topics. Non-fiction submissions should be no longer than 3,000 words.

3. Poetry: They are seeking your most evocative and impactful poems. Submit up to five poems of any length.

4. Book Review: If you are passionate about books and can provide insightful and engaging reviews, this category is for you. Review a book you’ve recently read and share your thoughts. Book reviews should be no longer than 1,000 words.

5. Essays: Explore critical issues, reflect on societal changes, or delve into personal experiences through thought-provoking essays. Essays should be no longer than 2,500 words.

Submission Instructions:

1. Submissions can be in English OR French

2. Send your work as a Word document to ebedireview@gmail.com with the subject line “Ebedi Review Submission – Your Name – Category.”

3. Include your full name, email address, and a brief bio (50 words max).

4. Submissions must be previously unpublished.

5. Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.

Important Dates:

• Submission Deadline: 30th December 2023

• Publication of the 10th Anniversary Edition: First Quarter of 2024
