Applications are now open for the British Council’s Connections Through Culture (CTC) Grants 2026, which support international creative partnerships between the UK and eligible countries, including Nigeria. Grants of £5,000 to £15,000 are available for artists, creative practitioners, cultural professionals, organisations, festivals, biennials, hubs, and collectives to develop collaborative projects across a wide range of art forms and creative disciplines.

Projects must involve at least one UK-based partner and one partner from an eligible participating country, with activities taking place between December 2026 and December 2027. This year’s programme also incorporates the grants previously offered through Biennials Connect and the Architecture, Design and Fashion Biennials and Festivals Grants, making it the British Council’s primary international arts funding programme for 2026.

Applications close on 12 August 2026, with successful applicants expected to be notified from October 2026. Those interested in applying can find detailed eligibility requirements, application guidance, FAQs, and additional resources on the British Council’s Connections Through Culture page.
