Tofield AB is hiring qualified candidates for the post of Physiotherapists I to join their medical team unit. This position works within the allied health and larger home care team to provide physiotherapy services to home care clients in the Tofield area. Successful candidates will work collaboratively with the OT and TA as well as the home care nursing staff.

Applications are open and will stay open until October 10, 2026. Successful candidates will be paid $41.27 to $54.95 per hour. This position may qualify for a recruitment incentive of up to $60,000, based on the length of their Return for Service. Each applicant is expected to have a valid driver’s license and operating vehicle because this is a home care position.

Each one must have a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. They must have current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

The following is the job description:

  • Provide therapeutic interventions to enable clients to achieve optimum physical function and independence in development, disease, disability, chronic conditions, illness and functional decline.
  • Provide intervention (i.e. prevention, triage, screening, assessment, diagnosis, goal setting, treatment, management, education, consultation, fostering resourcefulness, case management, referral and transition support to individuals, groups, populations and communities.
  • Include clients and families as integral members of the health care team, encouraging their active participation in all aspects of care.
  • Collaborate with patient(s) and families in determining, implementing and evaluating appropriate rehabilitation strategies.
  • Participate in a variety of interprofessional teams to build awareness, enrich supports and engage in quality improvement; partnering with healthcare providers, patients, families and other stakeholders to advance services for their clients.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and their professional community; participates in peer mentoring; and supervises students.
  • Provide clinical supervision to Therapy Assistants, Therapy Aides and Provisional Physiotherapists.
