Noisy Streetss Publishing is expanding its publishing programme into long-form fiction, announcing its inaugural roster of African novelists as it moves beyond the short stories and anthologies that have defined its work so far. The September 17 announcement marks what the publisher describes as its first step toward expanding fiction publishing infrastructure for African writers, with a catalogue spanning debut and established voices and stories across multiple genres. Sharon Adeoye-Ajanlekoko, Senior Associate Editor, described the forthcoming catalogue as an “all-you-can-eat buffet,” reflecting the range of stories the publisher plans to bring to readers.

The inaugural roster includes the latest release from fantasy author Erhu Kome alongside debut novels from Solarin Sodara, Dzifianu Afi Edoh-Torgah, Ayomide Ademola, Chidera Udochukwu-Nduka, Tonye George, and Anthony Azekwoh. According to Noisy Streetss, the forthcoming books explore themes including alternate possibilities, oppressive systems, fear, love, safety, desire, and encounters with supernatural entities. The publisher says the titles are intended to present African stories across genres while allowing writers to engage complex subjects on their own terms.

The expansion builds on Noisy Streetss’ existing work through podcasts, its studio and advisory services, as well as its sold-out anthologies. Editor-in-Chief Modupe Daramola said the selected titles reflect the publisher’s interest in stories that are “unapologetically African” while entertaining and teaching readers. Noisy Streetss says its long-form fiction programme will offer authors editorial support and global reach, with further attention to the individual writers and their books to be shared through the publisher’s Instagram. The new list positions the publisher as a growing participant in the contemporary African fiction landscape, extending its publishing ambitions from shorter forms into full-length novels.
