On my way to school last two Fridays, the driver stopped at the bus stop to pick a man and his teenage daughter. These two were in the middle of a conversation when they flagged down the cab, so when they sat, they resumed their conversation.

This father said to his little girl,

“Christianity and Islam are both borrowed religions in Africa. Never hate or hurt a countryman because they disagree with your religious views.”

I left that bus that morning excited, beaming with smiles, because I had shared a bus with a man who is honest and practical and is winning a soul against the strongest cause of violence in Nigeria.

Do the same. We owe the coming generation nothing but the truth. And these hard truths must be said.
