Nigeria Spoken word Poet, Nwakonobi Obinna Melody, popularly known as ”Obinna Melody,” wins the  Abuja Literary Festival’s Grand Slam, which was held on 8th September, at the Transcorp Hilton. The Grand Slam, amidst the festival’s numerous events, was said to be the hottest and most heated slam ever, with a shortlist of twenty poets across Nigeria. The line up includes:

Nine slam royalties were knocked out in the first round, six in the second round, and the third round was a beautiful marsh of five finalists with Greymartyr and Che Joy emerging as the second and first runner ups for the Slam.
