Photography 4 Humanity, in partnership with Fotografiska and UN Human Rights, is inviting emerging photographers worldwide to submit work for HOME, a global open call exploring the meaning of home in a world shaped by climate change, conflict, migration, and displacement. Photographers are encouraged to interpret the theme through personal, documentary, or conceptual perspectives that reflect ideas of belonging, identity, dignity, safety, memory, or loss.
Selected photographs will be exhibited at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Human Rights Day (10 December 2026), with the exhibition guest curated by acclaimed documentary photographer James Nachtwey. The selected works will also be showcased globally through UN.org, offering photographers an opportunity to share their work with an international audience.
Submissions are open until 12 July 2026 (10:00 CEST), and all applicants will be notified of the results in October 2026. The open call is free to enter and offers emerging photographers a unique opportunity to have their work displayed in one of the world’s most significant civic spaces.
