The IBRO/FUN Travel Awards is a dedicated travel grant opportunity given for neuroscience conferences and practitioners to gain exposure to global scientific communities. The initiative aims to foster diversity, enhance equitable access and support early career researchers. For the grant, there is a shared commitment to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion in neuroscience by prioritizing support for underrepresented groups. This includes balanced representation across gender, geography, socioeconomic status, disability and other marginalized groups.

Application for the grant opens from April 1, 2026, and it stays opened to July 17, 2026. The organisers of the grant, Society for Neuroscience (SIN) noted that applicants cam come from any country or geographic location. As long as the applicant is a neurologist. Successful and selected applicants will receive 1000 USD to attend the conference in Washington D. C in USA from November 14, 2026 to November 18, 2026.

In collaboration with meeting organizers, IBRO ensures that travel grantees are selected through a process aligned with IBRO’s mission and values, promoting equitable access to neuroscience training, networking and professional development opportunities.
