AuthenticA African Series Lab is open for application from screenwriters based in Africa into its six-month programme. The six-month programme is scheduled to combine online and in-person sessions. Participants will have in-person sections in Ethiopia, Switzerland, and Mania. 

Application are currently open and will closes on August 1, 2026. Screenwriters are to submit a story set in Africa, and the language can be in either English or any other languages. Only writers with vast experience in television and film are encouraged to apply. Group applications not encouraged, as only the individual applying will be selected.

Selected participants receives funding from the lab. Every month, the four selected participants will receive 1,250 EUR during the programme to cover for living expenses. Also, their transport fare to the in-person sessions are covered by the Lab. However, their visas and travel insurance are not funded by Lab. Participants must pay for these responsibilities.
