The fully funded Iceland Writers Retreat Program 2026 is currently accepting applications from writers worldwide, regardless of their expertise or background, according to the IWR. It will be held in Reykjavík from April 14 to 18, 2027. The five-day program connects gifted authors and helps them improve their writing abilities. IELTS is not necessary, nor is it necessary to be a professional writer; all interested candidates are welcome.

All International applicants can apply for the scholarships in Iceland. Your return flight, lodging, and participation cost will all be covered by this program. Your registration cost includes an exclusive full-day excursion to explore some breathtaking Iceland. They have particularly designed these excursions for our literary community.

The Iceland Writers Retreat provides financial assistance to a chosen group of brilliant writers who otherwise could not afford to attend. The generosity of IWR alumni and friends makes these gifts possible. The Iceland Writers Retreat is held once a year, in April, for authors, writers, and book lovers. The Iceland Writers Retreat offers up to nine two-hour writing sessions, each with a maximum of 15 participants, taught by our featured authors. You will be able to choose from over 20 workshops. Sign up early or select the IWR Voyage or IWR Write packages to ensure the best availability. Must check MOPGA Fell
